Sharing our knowledge in Copenhagen: the importance of design and design research in the medical industry
Ergonomidesign is back in Copenhagen, Denmark, to participate and to proudly contribute at the seminars and workshops, "Design and user involvement as a strategic tool in the medical industry", organised by the Dansk Design Center (Danish Design Centre) and Medicoindustrien (Medical industry) on March 4th 2010.

Ergonomidesign is on-site, both to hold a seminar and a workshop. The seminar, which is held by Industrial Designer, Mr. Daniel Höglund and Ergonomist, Mr. Fredrik Ericsson, will be about "Design research - an unsurpassed way to uncover latent needs and unspoken knowledge". Thereafter, Mr. Höglund, Mr. Ericsson and Director of Life Science, Ms. Liselott Silvhed will hold a workshop on the above topic and the importance of understanding the end-user's real needs and demands behind a product.
The focus of the seminar and workshop is on design and innovation in the medical industry. The one-day event will give insight as to how the medical industry could use design actively during product development. Also, the importance of design in relation to user-friendliness and patient safety will be covered. Relevant medical cases where design makes a difference will be shown, also introducing participants who actively are working on methods for user involvement.
